The secret to becoming a successful stage hypnotist rests in the ability of the hypnotist to be able to successfully get a person hyped up enough about the performance so that they automatically enter into a trance even without them being aware of it.
You see, the secret to learning hypnosis, in any form, including stage hypnosis, is that you must give the impression to the other party, be it an individual or an audience, that you're somehow having an effect on them, that you're somehow in control of what they will think, do, or say.
When you attend a stage hypnosis show, the hypnotist is constantly screening all members of the audience to see who is going to be more suggestible than other members. They do this through a number of pre-inductions and other so called tests until they find out who is more receptive to the influence of their hypnosis. Those that are more receptive and mentally chosen within the stage hypnotists mind, and when the time for the selection of volunteers comes, the stage hypnotist is more likely to call upon those that are more suggestible.
Another thing you should look out for if you want to learn stage hypnosis, is those people who are naturally suggestible, or somnambulists as the term is more commonly replied. Somnambulists are generally easier to spot in hypnosis shows as they do just about everything the hypnotist asks of them. If during the course of the stage hypnosis show, the hypnotist asks members of the audience to imagine their fingers coming closer and closer together, then sure enough, those members of the audience who are somnambulist will be more likely to co-operate with the hypnotist and undertake the inductions.
So when the time does come to select volunteers you want to look for those people who are naturally suggestible and get them right on stage. You'll be ignoring those who don't seem to follow your suggestions, or don't seem as naturally suggestible as others. You want to after all be able to plant subconscious suggestions within people so that they do spectacular things that members of the audience find amazing, and this is precisely what the stage hypnotist relies upon.
So during your journey on learning stage hypnotism, remember this one important piece of advice: Select people who are more suggestible to your hypnotic inductions than others. You don't want to pick a member of the audience who doesn't do what you say, or someone that believes they have some sort of a grudge against you of some form and just wants to go out of their way to proving you wrong in front of the crowd. These are the people you'll be trying to ignore, and you'll be wanting to replace them with members of the audience who will be doing as you say.
So remember, if you want to learn stage hypnosis it's no easy task, learn normal hypnosis and covert hypnosis, and from there learn certain aspects of showmanship. Once you think you have enough confidence, move on to stage hypnosis and remember the fundamental principle: Use the audience to your advantage. Select members that will be doing as you say, and that have already fallen into a deep state of hypnosis. By following these techniques you'll be able to lead a more productive and enjoyable show for everyone to enjoy and watch and most importantly of all, remember.
